About this digital tool

The water bill calculator estimates how much you will pay for the water you use in a month. Enter consumption in cubic metres (m³), choose the region and the tool shows you the amount for consumption, the fixed charge, VAT and the total.

The formula is consumption × the rate per m³ for the chosen region (Tirana, Kosovo or other areas), plus a fixed charge of 300 lek, then 20% VAT is added. The result is an estimate and water utility tariffs vary by city. It is useful for owners and tenants who want to forecast monthly expenses, or check whether a bill they received looks reasonable.

How to use

  1. Enter your monthly consumption in m³.
  2. Confirm the water utility's tariff.
  3. See the estimated bill.

Frequently asked questions

How much water does a family use on average?

A 4-person family: ~10–15 m³/month (about 80–120 litres/person/day). A garden or pool raises consumption significantly.

How is a water bill calculated?

Consumption in m³ is multiplied by the rate, the fixed charge is added and then VAT. The tool shows each step, so you see how much comes from consumption and how much from fixed charges.

How many m³ of water does a family use a month?

It depends on the number of members and habits. To find your own figure, read the meter at the start and end of the month and subtract the readings; then enter the difference in the tool.

Why does my bill differ from the estimate?

Tariffs vary by water utility and there may be discounts, previous debts or extra charges. The tool gives an estimate with approximate rates and does not replace the official bill.
