About this digital tool
The electricity bill calculator estimates what your monthly electricity bill will be based on consumption in kWh. Choose the region, Albania or Kosovo, enter your monthly consumption and, for Kosovo, how much of it is night-time consumption.
For Albania the tool applies the block tariff according to monthly consumption, adds the fixed charge and 20% VAT. For Kosovo it splits consumption into day and night, uses different rates for the low and high block, and adds the fixed charge and 8% VAT. The result is an estimate and does not replace the official bill, but it helps you plan your budget and understand what each extra kWh weighs.
How to use
- Enter your monthly consumption in kWh.
- Confirm the tariff (usually preset by region).
- See the estimated bill.
Frequently asked questions
What is the electricity tariff in Albania?
The tariff varies by band. For household use up to 800 kWh/month: a base tariff; above this threshold: a higher tariff. Check the current tariff with OSHEE.
How is an electricity bill calculated?
Consumption in kWh is multiplied by the tariff, then the fixed charge is added and VAT on the sum. The tool applies these steps according to the region you choose and shows each component separately.
Why is night-time consumption asked for in Kosovo?
In Kosovo the night tariff is lower than the day tariff. The tool has a separate field for night kWh, so it can apply the day and night tariffs separately.
Is the calculated bill identical to the official one?
Not necessarily. It is an estimate using the tariffs the tool has, and tariffs may be updated. For the exact amount, see the bill from your supplier.
