About this digital tool
The unit converter turns values between common units in several categories: length, weight and mass, volume, area, speed, engine power, digital data and temperature. Choose the category, enter the value and choose the "From" and "To" unit; the result appears instantly.
The conversion goes through a base unit: the value is multiplied by the factor of the source unit and divided by the factor of the target unit. For example, 5 miles = 5 × 1609.344 m = 8046.72 m, so about 8.05 km. Also 100 km/h is about 62.14 mph. It is useful for travel, cooking, construction, buying from abroad and school homework, where you switch between the metric and imperial systems.
