About this digital tool

This online scientific calculator lets you type a full expression with brackets and calculate it with one press. Besides the four operations, it supports powers (^), square roots (√), logarithms (log and ln), the trigonometric functions sin, cos, tan and the constants π and e. No installation is needed: it works directly in the browser, on phone and computer.

The calculator respects the order of operations: brackets, then powers, then multiplication and division, finally addition and subtraction. For example, 2 + 3 × 4 gives 14, while sqrt(144) + 2^3 gives 12 + 8 = 20. Trigonometric functions calculate in radians, so sin(pi/2) = 1. It suits school homework, students and quick calculations at work.

How to use

  1. Enter the mathematical expression using the buttons or keyboard.
  2. Switch between DEG/RAD for trigonometric functions.
  3. Press = or Enter to see the result.

Frequently asked questions

Does it support trigonometric functions?

Yes — sin, cos, tan, plus the inverses (arcsin, arccos, arctan). Switch between degrees and radians as needed.

How do I write a power?

Use the xⁿ button or type ^ (e.g. 2^10 = 1024). For a square: x². For a square root: √.

Do sin, cos and tan work in degrees or radians?

In radians. To calculate in degrees, multiply the angle by π and divide by 180. E.g. sin(30°) is written as sin(30 × pi / 180) and gives 0.5.

Does the calculator respect the order of operations?

Yes. Multiplication and division are done before addition and subtraction, while brackets take full priority. So 2 + 3 × 4 = 14, while (2 + 3) × 4 = 20.
