About this digital tool
The Matura points calculator estimates university admission points from your school average and your Matura exam grades. Enter your high school average, the grades of the two compulsory exams and the grade of the elective exam, all on the 0–10 scale.
The tool uses weights of 40% for the school average and 20% for each of the three exams, adds them into a final grade and converts it into points with the formula (grade ÷ 10) × 1000. It is a quick estimate for comparing combinations of grades and seeing how many points are missing. For the exact thresholds and coefficients of a programme, see the university's official guidelines, because they change every year.
How to use
- Enter your high school average (from the report card, 6–10).
- Enter the Matura A grade (compulsory subjects).
- Enter the Matura B grade (elective subjects).
- Choose the university programme for the coefficients.
- See the total points and compare with the admission threshold.
Frequently asked questions
How are Matura points calculated?
The MASR formula: Points = (Average × k₁) + (Matura A grade × k₂) + (Matura B grade × k₃). The coefficients (k) vary for each programme — e.g. Medicine gives more weight to Biology.
Where do I find the official coefficients?
RASH (the Albanian Academic Network) publishes the coefficient table every year, usually in May-June. Our calculator uses the coefficients of the current year.
Do admission points change every year?
Yes — the point threshold changes with the number of applicants and the quotas. The calculator gives your points, but you must check the threshold on the RASH page.
Does it apply to Kosovo universities?
No — Kosovo's system has a different admission formula. This calculator is based only on the MASR formula for Albania.
How are points calculated from the final grade?
The final grade is divided by 10 and multiplied by 1000. For a grade of 8.0 you get 800 points. The tool does this after calculating with the weights.
What weights does the tool use for each grade?
The school average has a weight of 40% and each of the three exams 20%. If a programme has other coefficients, the result is only a guide.
