About this digital tool
The tip calculator works out how much tip to leave and splits the bill between people. Enter the bill amount, the tip percentage and the number of people, and the tool gives the tip, the total and each person's share. Formula: tip = bill × percentage ÷ 100, while share per person = (bill + tip) ÷ number of people.
It is handy at dinners with friends, in cafés and restaurants, especially when the bill is split between several people. In Albania and Kosovo tipping is not compulsory and the amount depends on custom and the quality of service. The result is an estimate and you can round it as you like.
How to use
- Enter the total bill amount.
- Choose the tip percentage.
- Set the number of people to split the bill.
